Housing
Housing has been one of the most visible markers of my journey. My first home was in Gore Tuca, Portmore—a place that represented both progress and the foundation for what was to come. From there, I took the step of purchasing property in Canada, a move that carried both excitement and a sense of accomplishment. Eventually, I would purchase again in the United States, continuing the path toward stability. Even today, I still have boxes from my move out of Canada stacked in the garage—a reminder of how far the journey has carried me, and how each transition built on the one before it. Housing has not simply been about shelter; it has been about establishing roots, claiming space, and redefining what security looks like in my life.

Transportation
Transportation tells its own story of growth and responsibility. My very first car was a Fiat Uno, bright red and full of life. I bought it cash, used, and it gave me something more valuable than just mobility—it gave me independence. That little car was the start of a long journey on the road, both literally and figuratively. Over the years, I have owned different vehicles, but I have always taken it slow and approached ownership with care. For me, vehicles were never about showing off; they were about moving forward responsibly, step by step, and always keeping independence within reach.

Finances
Finances have been the thread running through every decision I made. From the early days of scraping by to the later years of saving, investing, and planning, money was never just about survival—it was about building a better future. I learned the importance of separating wants from needs, of spending wisely, and of not being afraid to enjoy life while staying on track. Saving, investing, and making careful choices gave me the foundation to move out of poverty’s shadow. More than anything, finances became not just a matter of numbers, but a mindset—keeping a positive outlook, believing that progress is possible, and staying focused on what truly matters.
